Cheese Fondue Time, pt. 2 on Flickr.

Tabea, Fabian, Lukas, Ben and I enjoyed a cheese fondue out on the apartment balcony. The kirsch liquor, warm cheese, and white wine “almost” made you forget that it was cold outside!

Cable Ferry across the River Rhine on Flickr.

In Basel, these boats are attatched to cables so that they won’t get pulled into the strong currents. The ferryman actually puts the boat on a special angle so that the current pushes the boat across.
